Sewing 101



Want to know how to rock the sewing machine? Don't have a clue what a feed dog is? Come hang out at Crimson Tate and learn the basics of sewing. In this two-night class, you'll learn about the machine, how to cut fabric, read a pattern and create a pillowcase as your prized first creation. 

Other supplies you'll need (arrive to class 15 minutes early and we'll help you coordinate your pillowcase!)

Choose quilting weight cotton, cotton-linen, or lawn, at least 43/44" wide:
- 7/8 yard for the body
- 1/3 yard for the cuff
- 1/8 yard for the accent

(1) 220 yd spool Aurifil thread, (1) fat quarter, and printed pillowcase instructions
